Wind turbine blades endure extreme conditions such as wind erosion, thunderstorms, sandstorms, and hail year-round. Hidden dangers like surface cracking, delamination, debonding, and lightning receptor failure, if not detected promptly, can lead to reduced power generation at best, or blade fracture and even casualties at worst. Traditional inspection relies on "spider-men" climbing blades via ropes, which is inefficient, has a high missed detection rate, and poses extreme safety risks—this robotic solution is born to replace it.
① Negative Pressure Adsorption · Stable Adhesion on Curved Surfaces Without Falling
Adopts a negative pressure adsorption four-wheel differential chassis, weighing only 10.5kg, capable of stably adhering to complex curved surfaces of wind turbine blades (and reusable in scenarios like bridge towers and dam bodies). Maximum crawling speed is 9m/min, obstacle clearance is 5mm. Personnel can control it from the ground, fundamentally eliminating the personal risk of high-altitude operations.
② Dual-Mode Detection · Upgrading "Visibility" to "Measurability"
Phased Array Ultrasonic Module—Accuracy ≤0.1mm, capable of identifying invisible internal defects such as delamination, debonding, and hidden cracks within the blade. Beam angle/focus depth are software adjustable, with adaptive fitting to curved surfaces.
Lightning Receptor Dedicated Inspection Module—Utilizes dual principles of electromagnetic coupling + resistance measurement to quantify conduction resistance and evaluate the reliability of the lightning protection path.
③ Non-Stop Operation · Less Downtime = More Power Generation
Supports full-length inspection from blade root to tip under non-stop working conditions. Paired with a lifting deployment cart for safe and precise deployment. Wireless video/data transmission control distance >1KM, allowing real-time viewing of 1080p HD images and inspection data on site.
④ Data Closed Loop · Traceable Inspection Records
The industrial PC terminal displays real-time video, posture, and inspection data. The system archives each inspection record and automatically generates standardized reports, supporting full lifecycle tracking of defects and digitalization of operation and maintenance decisions.
